WITNESS TO GOD’S ASSURANCE & DELIVERANCE

The story now comes to Paul as the Witness.  Arrested and looking like the end is near, God has His own purpose to be fulfilled.  Paul now sees the power of God – His Assurance, Deliverance, and His Sovereignty over Paul’s life.

 

READING ACTS 23

REFLECTION

1. Acts 23:2-10. What does his interrogation in v3-5 tell about the character of Paul? In v6 -10, what did Paul do to show how wise he was? (Hint: it’s about resurrection of the dead)

2. Acts 23:11.  How did God assure Paul and gave him strength? How does God assures and strengthen believers today?

3. Acts 23:12-35. What was the plot against Paul and how did God deliver him ?

4. Have you witnessed God deliver believers from Satan’s plot today? (Journal the event)

5. What can you understand about God’s sovereignty in Paul’s life (V11)?  Do you think God is sovereign in your life? From your answer, how should you live your life?

CONTEMPLATION

Have you ever been in a difficult situation and you call out to God?  And you have unbelievable supernatural wisdom?  Or an assurance from God & His Word gave you strength? Or a deliverance takes place that you know can only be from God? Journal this event/s – they form your spiritual markers to faith in God.
